Campground & Park Rules


Select campsites (1, 5, 6, 7, 9, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 25, 28, 29, 31, 35, 39, 40, 41, 42 and 43)  shelters, group sites, and primitive sites are reservable. The Timberdoodle Lodge, Ruffed Grouse Retreat, and Gobbler's Roost Cabins are by reservation only.

Reservations must be made at least 10 days in advance of your stay.  All reservations are non-refundable.



To make the park facilities safe and enjoyable for you and others, several important policies should be noted. All policies are enforced and are subject to fines. We sincerely hope you enjoy your visit. Click here to download the Veteran's Memorial Park Policies.

Dates Open: Park is open year round. The campground is open from mid-May through mid-October.

Park Hours: Quiet time is from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. The park is closed during these hours except for registered campers who are in or en-route or people transporting watercraft to and from the boat landing.

Camping Rates: Sites #1-48 are $35.00 per night.  A $10.00 per night discount available for veterans with proper ID. Veteran discount only applies to the site on which the Veteran is occupying. No refunds. Sites are on a first-come, first-serve basis except sites #1, 5, 6, 7, 9, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 25, 28, 29, 31, 35, 39, 40, 41, 42 and 43 which are able to be reserved. All sites include 20/30 amp electrical hook-up.

Payment Methods: Jack Lake Campground accepts cash or check. Credit/Debit cards cannot be accepted at this time. Please make checks payable to Langlade County Treasurer. Also, showers are quarter-operated. $1.00 for 5 minutes, then an additional $.25 per minute. There is no ATM or quarter machine available on-site.

How to Register:

  • Campers must be 18 or older to register for a campsite. Maximum of 8 campers per site.
  • Campers must register at the park office before setting up any camping equipment, a site will always go to campers who register first, NOT FIRST TO SET UP CAMP! 
  • No campsite is open for camping until the previous camping party has checked out of the park office or at the check-out box (located at the entrance of the park).
  • Camper must place a camping tent, camper, motor vehicle or a motorhome on the site immediately after registering for a site.
  • Hunting blinds, children’s play tents, boats, coolers, etc., are not appropriate camping units.
  • When sites #1-48 are full, a waiting list is started at 8:30 am in the park office. The list is started new each day. Campers on the waiting list must be at the park office when a campsite opens to receive that site. If the camper is not at the office or they reject the site, we skip to the next camper on the list. Campers must sign-up on the list in person, no friends, relatives, etc., can sign someone up. Campers can only sign-up for a total of two sites.

One Camping Unit per Site: Only exceptions are screen houses and kids under 18 with their own tents.

Maximum Stay: 14 nights. Thereafter, a camping party and camping unit must leave the campground for one day. If sites #1-48 are not full at the time, campers may stay on a day-by-day basis.

Campsite Occupancy: Maximum 8 people per site. An adult must be present when minors are on site. Campers must keep their camping unit on the site at all times, exceptions are trailers at the dump station/water fill area or motor home type camping units.

Campsite Responsibility: Adults registering for a site will be responsible for any violation occurring on that site including non-registered guests. Campsites must be cleaned daily by campers and waste deposited in containers provided. This includes animal waste.

Quiet Hours: 10:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m. This means radios off and quiet conversation only.

Campsite Visitors: Campsite visitors must be vacated from the site by 10:00 pm. Visitors cannot park at your site if there are already two vehicles on the site.

Motor Vehicles: Two vehicles per site, excluding the camping unit. Extra vehicles can park in the overflow area located at the front of the park or pay $5 per car for more than two vehicles per campsite. Registered campers entering the park after 10:00 pm must display vehicle rear-view mirror hangers to park staff or entrance will be denied. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Vehicle Window Hangers: Required on all vehicles at all times.

Check-out Time: 1:00pm daily. All re-registrations must occur by 1:00 pm, or the campsite will become available to another party. No camping party shall start setting up or taking down its camping unit between the hours of 10:00 pm and 7:00 am without prior authorization of the park manager. If you have not re-registered your site for another night by 1:00 pm on the day you're registered to leave, your site will be registered to another party, regardless if you have moved your equipment off the site. If camping equipment is left after check-out time, it will be considered abandoned the property and Langlade County may assume ownership.

Personal Conduct: No person shall engage in violent, abusive, indecent, profane, boisterous, unreasonably loud, or otherwise disorderly conduct. Complaints received about sites and confirmed by the park manager will be issued 1 warning before campers are evicted from the campground and find for violations.

Pets: Are welcome; however, must be effectively restrained on a leash no longer than 10 ft. and not left unattended at any time. Pets ARE NOT allowed in park/beach areas. Pet owners must clean up pet waste or be subject to fines.

Fireworks: Prohibited at all times.

Firearms: Prohibited at all times including airguns.

Campfires: Must be maintained under control and in provided fire rings. Do not move fire rings or place garbage in fire rings.

Firewood: Must be purchased at the park office. Bringing your own firewood to this campground is prohibited. No defacing, cutting, or removing of trees, brush, or firewood from lands owned by Langlade County. Exceptions are made for the gathering of dead sticks or branches (kindling) from the forest floor. Violators of this policy will be subject to timber theft.

RV Dump Station: RV dump station available for free to registered campers.  Non-registered campers may use the Jack Lake Campground RV dump station for a fee of $15.00.  The Langlade County Fairgrounds has an RV dump station available for a fee of $12.00.  The Langlade County Fairgrounds Dump Station is located at 1635 Neva Road, Antigo, WI 54409.  For more information, click here.


Group Campsites – South Shore, Snow Shelter, and Deer Camp

Rates: $25.00/night per camping unit. THESE SITES ARE RESERVABLE. Reservations can be made by calling 715-623-6214 starting the 1st workday after New Year’s at 8:30 am. Reservations require a minimum of three camping units for South Shore and two for Snow Shelter and Deer Camp. Reservations require the full deposit within 20 days. Check-out time is 1:00 pm daily. Generators with reasonable noise levels are permitted (must be turned off by quiet hours).


Primitive Sites

Loon Cry Outpost and Game Lake Campsite: Are $25.00 per night and are reservable. Motor vehicle access is prohibited.

High Lake Campground: These 7 sites are on a first-come, first-serve basis and are $15.00/night. Registration policy – use on-site, self-registration or register at Veteran’s Memorial Park. Access to these sites is restricted to hike in or boat in campers only. Pets must be kept on a leash and not left unattended. Garbage and recyclables must be taken out to Veteran’s Memorial Park.



Veteran's Memorial Park has four shelters for rent.  Jack Lake Lodge is located in the center of Veteran's Memorial Park.  This shelter seats 60-70 people and is able to be enclosed if raining or cold outside.  Jack Lake Lodge rental includes a full sized refrigerator, sink, fireplace, tables, chairs, electricity, and flush toilets for $150 per day.  There are three other shelters marked A, B, and C that are available for reservations. These other shelters are approximately 18' X 20' with electricity and picnic tables for a fee of $55.00 for a full day (7:00 am to 10:00 pm). Reservations on all these shelters require a full deposit within 20 days. Park shelters must be vacated by 10:00 pm. Vehicles may use the access road to unload; however, parking is prohibited. NO PETS ALLOWED AT SHELTERS OR ANYWHERE IN THE PARK.



  • Cabins are on a reservation basis only.
  • Cabins are $75.00 per night. There is a two night minimum for weekends for June - August.
  • Reservations can be made by calling the park manager at 715-623-6214.  Reservations are accepted starting the 2nd workday after New Year's (January 5, 2021) at 8:30 a.m.
  • Check-in time is 3:00 p.m.
  • Check-out time is 1:00 p.m.
  • No pets in the cabin.
  • Pets must be on a leash and not left unattended.
  • Maximum of six people per cabin.
  • No smoking in cabins.
  • No running electric extension cords outside.
  • Do not move furniture outside.
  • No additional RVs parked at cabins.
  • Two vehicle limit at cabins.
  • Must follow check-out procedures (remove garbage, sweep cabin, and wipe down cabin).
  • Campers will be charged for damage to cabin or furniture.


Failure to follow policy including check-out procedure will be subject to Park fines.
